LCCH Hypnotherapy Training in Singapore
AccreditationThe first of these courses will commence at the TTSH (TTSH) on 15th September 2007. The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) has agreed to award affiliate membership to students on the Diploma course and this will progress to associate membership once students complete the Diploma. LCCH Singapore will become the second center in Asia to receive agreement for this prestigious membership. Full membership follows successful completion of the Practitioners Diploma. Medical practitioners are eligible for membership to the British Association of Medical Hypnosis (BAMH). Associate membership to the BAMH may be granted to students completing the Practitioner Diploma in clinical hypnosis. The AimThe primary function of the LCCH in Singapore would be to train future hypnotherapy practitioners to deal ethically, safely and effectively with a very wide range of presenting symptoms and conditions. These would include working in medical, psychological, behavioural and emotional contexts. Clinical Hypnosis provides a powerful tool and the will be an opportunity to apply this to habit breaking and establishing successful behaviour patterns. In addition, clinical hypnosis is very successful at goal setting, enhancing successful patterns and developing motivation and winning strategies. BSCH AsiaTan Tock Seng Hospital will collaborate with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (Singapore) to provide a new standard of professionalism to the application of clinical hypnosis in Singapore. Singapore Graduates will have an opportunity to become founder members of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (Asia). This international professional organization provides a bench mark of professional standards for clinical hypnotherapists and in addition provides information to members of the public. LCCH hypnotherapy graduates in Singapore working along with the TTSH will help shape the direction of the increasingly active Asian branch. Medical & Health Care ProfessionsThe British and American Medical Associations (BMA and AMA) have been recommending training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy since the late 1950's. In 2002 the BMA, further suggested that clinical hypnosis become reclassified as a integrative medicine. This has led to an increased interest in clinical hypnosis from both psychiatry and general medicine. The caring, health and medical professionals will also gain a comprehensive understanding to the benefits that clinical hypnosis.
